BFA show

Well, its finally here! My senior BFA showcase is on Friday! What a stress it has been trying to finish my portfolio along with my portfolio site. We have been working really hard to put this whole show together. I hope it will all turn out great. Hope to see you there!

I was one of the lucky few chosen who got to make my poster into a street banner to advertise the show.  Check me out! I'm practically famous!

I also was lucky enough to be chosen to get interviewed by the Herald Journal. They are publishing an article and some of my work in the paper on Friday :)

Flash Game preview

Well, we having been working on a kid's game for our next Flash website assignment. It is a lot harder I think than a normal website. There is so much more interaction you have to program. I chose to do a girly dress-up game, obviously they are my favorite :)  My game still has a few bugs to work out, but until I get those fixed, you can look at some screen shot previews.

I decided to do a website for a floral design company because 1. I love flowers. and 2. I think it would be so fun to be a florist. Hence, here is my website. Its pretty simple, but I like the way it turned out.

Sneek Peek

Ok, so after spending many a hours in the lab today. I am making progress on my next website! Barely. It takes me so long to do the simplest things. I am in by no means an expert on this stuff. At all.  Here are a few screen shots to see what I'm up to!

It's back to work for me!

Flash Website

So, our final project for graphic interface was to create a simple website using Flash. I'd never used Flash before, so I was a little intimidated. But this class has pretty much all been about doing things I've never done before. So here I went. I decided to do my website about redheads, because obviously, why not. We are a completely unrepresented race. Ok, maybe not a race, but a population let's say.  So, I wanted to do something fun and whimsical to cover this fabulous topic, and I was researching I stumbled upon this holiday card: Loved it! Perfect style I was looking for. Kind of like a classy but fun 50's feel going on.

Next I found a bunch of fun content including crazy facts and myths about redheads, which you might be surprised there are a lot of.  Then it was on to figure out how to include this all into a website. And make it not look to ridiculous. The design is pretty simple, but I like it.  Then onto putting it all into Flash, and making it somehow all link together and do cool movements and stuff. This was where the confusement came. I struggled a bit, but it is done. And turned in. I might go back and fix some things to make it better, but until then, here it is!

Animation

Our next project was doing the actual type animation for our movie clip we chose.  Flash is a program I'd never used before, so at first it was proving to be a slow and difficult task. But I got the hang of it by the end i think. Check out my finished animation, let me know what you think!! :)
